Since January 2016, students from Cypress Lake High School have enjoyed a special learning experience outside their classroom, thanks to a partnership between Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast and FineMark National Bank & Trust. The program, called Beyond School Walls, aims to help at-risk children reach their fullest potential. Research shows that children in the Beyond School Walls program have improved focus in school, improved grades, and a positive change in attitudes or perceptions. Beyond School Walls was launched in 2008 at Big Brothers Big Sisters National headquarters and is the nation’s largest workplace mentoring program.
