Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida to induct Joseph Catti into 2015 Business Hall of Fame, Lee County
FORT MYERS, Fla. (Dec. 11, 2014) – Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida will induct Joseph R. Catti, director, president, and CEO of FineMark Holdings, Inc., and FineMark National Bank & Trust, and Elaine A. Hawkins, president/principal of Private Client Insurance Services, LLC, and president/owner of Specialty Risk Management Services, LLC into the 2015 Business Hall of Fame, Lee County, at a dinner and awards ceremony April 16 at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa.
The prestigious award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who serve as role models for youth through their professional accomplishments and commitment to the community. Catti and Hawkins will join a distinguished group of individuals who have been inducted into the Business Hall of Fame since it was founded in 1999. Catti, a Florida native and graduate of Florida International University, has used the same skills that helped him build a bank and investment company to help countless individuals and organizations in the community. He serves as a member of the Executive and Finance Committee of the Lee Memorial Health System Foundation and is a member and past chairman of the Florida Gulf Coast University Foundation. He is or has been a member of the board of directors of several other institutions and organizations, including the Southwest Florida Community Foundation; Canterbury School; the Foundation for Lee County Public Schools; Cypress Cove; United Way of Lee, Hendry, Glades and Okeechobee; the Edison-Ford Winter Estates Foundation; Lee Health Care Resources; Community Cooperative and the FGCU Board of Trustees. He is also the campaign chairperson for Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida.
In 2005, Catti received the Lee County Philanthropist of the Year award from Gulfshore Life magazine for his fundraising efforts. He was also recognized with the Boy Scouts of America Distinguished Citizen of the Year award for Lee and Collier Counties in 2009. He also served as campaign chairperson for the United Way for 2009 and 2010, and he was selected as one of Gulfshore Life Magazine’s Men of the Year in 2010.
Catti was appointed to the FGCU Board of Trustees by the Board of Governors in January 2011 and the Canterbury School Board of Trustees in January 2012. He was also selected as Voice of the Year by Voices for Kids of Southwest Florida, Guardian Ad Litem in November 2012.
Catti and his wife, JoAnn, have been married for over 30 years, and they have four children: Christopher, Jennifer, Jessica and Nicholas.
