FineMark’s South Lee County President Harlan Parrish was alongside Florida Governor Ron DeSantis this morning at San Carlos Park Elementary in Lee County, where the Governor awarded $2 million from the Florida Disaster Fund to help teachers impacted by Hurricane Ian. The six hardest hit counties will share in the funds and this morning, The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools was awarded the largest portion with a check for $500,000. Parrish, who is the outgoing chair for the Foundation, says the money will help the teachers and staff who have lost their homes and property during the storm. Collier County Schools will also receive $350,000.
