FineMark’s own Carolina Llano was recently inducted into the Pepperdine Athletics 2018 Hall of Fame.
A key member on the best team in Pepperdine women’s golf history, Carolina was a three-time All-American and a three-time medalist at the West Coast Conference Championships.
Carolina came to the United States from Medellin, Colombia, where she was her country’s top-ranked amateur golfer. She had an outstanding junior career, which included a third-place finish at the 2002 Junior Worlds and 21st at the 2002 World Amateur.
The three best NCAA finishes in Pepperdine women’s golf history came during Carolina’s time there: second place as a 2003 freshman, fourth place as a 2005 junior and third place as a 2006 senior.
After graduating in 2006 with a degree in international business, Carolina embarked upon a professional career that lasted six years. She earned LPGA Tour cards in 2008 and 2009 and her best finish was a tie for ninth place at the 2008 Corona Morelia Championship.
Carolina joined our Scottsdale office in 2014, working as a relationship manager for FineMark Sports Management®. She earned an MBA from Arizona State University in 2014 and became a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP) in 2017.
