FineMark Executive Chef Lisa Fidler donated over 18 inches of hair to locks of love and collected close to $5,000 in donations during the Bonita / Estero Relay for Life on April 26.
The Relay For Life movement offers an inspiring opportunity to honor cancer survivors, promote how individuals can reduce their cancer risk, and raise money to help end cancer. "Janet Bottiglio was our inspiration and Spirit Stick this year." Lisa continued, "Janet is a survivor and just an amazing person. She is the embodiment of strength, love, and selflessness. We are proud and honored to be a part of such a great cause.”
Many staff members from the Coconut Point, Bentley Village and Naples Offices worked hard organizing, setting up, bringing props, and encouraging the walkers. Dallas Revord surprised the team at midnight with coffee, a gorgeous cake and a game to wake them up. He event stayed until 3am. Coach Jeff Sommer from Estero High School convinced some members of the boys track team, to dress up and walk the “Miss Relay” lap and collect money.
FineMark Associates donated anywhere from $5 up to $370 to help Lisa exceed her original goal of $2,000. "I can't believe we made it close to $5,000," said Lisa "I had a goal of $2,000 and this just blows me away. I truly love my coworkers for all their help. Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
